Larissa & Sam’s Magical Winter Wedding at St Tewdrics House

There’s something undeniably enchanting about a wedding day wrapped in the soft, ethereal embrace of fog. Larissa and Sam’s winter wedding at St Tewdrics House in Wales was nothing short of magical—an event where romance met mystery, and every moment felt like a scene from a fairytale. The morning of the wedding dawned grey and quiet. The kind of foggy day that feels as though the world has paused, creating a serene, almost dreamlike atmosphere. As a wedding photographer, there's nothing I love more than working with the natural elements, and the fog at St Tewdrics House on this particular day made for some truly stunning, cinematic shots.

St Tewdrics House is already a beautiful venue, with its sweeping grounds, elegant architecture, and tranquil gardens. But on this day, with the mist rolling in from the hills and softening the edges of the surroundings, the venue felt like it was suspended in time. The ancient trees, the grand front steps, the ivy-clad walls—all wrapped in a haze of fog—created a stunning, romantic backdrop for Larissa and Sam’s day.

The ceremony itself took place indoors, in the beautiful courtyard of St Tewdrics House. The space was bathed in candlelight, casting a warm glow over the room and creating a sense of coziness against the winter chill. The fog outside only enhanced the intimate feel, making it feel like Larissa and Sam’s world was contained within those walls, surrounded by family and friends who had gathered to witness their vows. The fog outside might have been thick, but inside, the room was full of light.

After the ceremony, we ventured back outdoors for a few more portraits before the sun began to set. It was cold, but Larissa and Sam were game for anything. There’s something so romantic about the way couples pull close together on a chilly day, their breath creating little puffs of steam as they whisper to each other. As we walked along the misty grounds of St Tewdrics House, I had to remind myself that this fog—this unique atmosphere—was something special. The way it clung to the trees, the way it blurred the background into soft shadows, created such a unique atmosphere for their wedding photos. Every shot felt like a quiet moment, suspended in time. The reception was a joyous celebration of Larissa and Sam’s love, with plenty of laughter, dancing, and a beautiful dinner served in the heart of St Tewdrics House. The couple danced their first dance as husband and wife, surrounded by those who loved them most. Later, the dance floor was packed with friends and family joining in the celebration. You could feel the magic of the day still alive in every corner, as Larissa and Sam shared their joy with everyone who had helped them get to this beautiful moment.

Larissa and Sam’s wedding at St Tewdrics House was truly unforgettable. The foggy winter day added an extra layer of romance, making the entire event feel like it belonged to another world. It was a day full of love, warmth, and connection. To Larissa and Sam: Thank you for allowing me to be part of your beautiful day. Your love is inspiring, and I’m so grateful I had the chance to capture the magic of your wedding. Wishing you both a lifetime of happiness, love, and many more magical moments xx
